Inbox and notifications
Inbox collects social, market, wallet, and other account events that may need your attention. It is separate from the public activity shown on Home.
Before you start
Connect and verify a wallet to use Inbox. Guests can continue to browse public feeds, profiles, collections, and market data.
Push notifications also need permission from your browser or device. The in-app Inbox can still work when push permission is off.
Open Inbox
- On mobile, select the bell in the header.
- On desktop, select Inbox in the left navigation.
The navigation badge shows the number of items that have not been reviewed. Inbox opens on All unless you choose another category.
Filter Inbox
- Open Inbox.
- Select the filter icon labeled Filter inbox.
- Choose one of these views:
- All for every Inbox category
- Social for likes, replies, comments, follows, and community events
- Market for listings, purchases, sales, auction activity, bids, wins, and escrow events
- Chat for supported Chat-related Inbox events
- Wallet for transfers, receives, and transaction-related events
- Close the filter menu and review the updated list.
Ordinary XMTP direct and group messages remain in Chat, even when the Chat filter in Inbox is empty.
Open and read a notification
- Select an unread row.
- floored marks that row read and opens its related destination when one is available.
- Use Back to return to Inbox.
The row loses its unread appearance after opening. A destination can be an Ethscription, comment, profile, collection, listing, holder-chat context, or transaction context.
Opening a row and clearing the navigation badge are separate behaviors. Staying in Inbox for about three seconds clears the visible navigation badge, even if you have not opened every row individually.
Older items load automatically as you approach the bottom. Inbox does not include Archive, Mark all as read, or Load more buttons.
Refresh Inbox
On a touch device, pull down until the refresh indicator appears, then release. The current category reloads. A spinner remains visible until the request finishes.
Turn push notifications on or off
- Open your own Profile.
- Open Settings.
- Turn Push notifications on or off.
- If the operating system asks for permission, choose the option that matches your preference.
The toggle shows the saved floored preference. If system notification permission is denied, turning the in-app setting on cannot override the device setting. Open the operating system notification settings for floored to change that permission.
Follow a transaction notice
While floored is open, a transaction notice moves through these states:
- Confirm this transaction in your wallet means floored is waiting for wallet approval.
- Waiting for confirmation on Ethereum means the transaction was submitted.
- Transaction complete means Ethereum confirmed it.
- Transaction error means the request was rejected, failed, or could not complete.
When a completed notice includes View on Etherscan, select it to inspect the confirmed hash. A complete transaction can still take a short time to appear in profile, collection, feed, or market data.
If Inbox or push does not work
- Inbox is unavailable: Connect and verify a wallet.
- Inbox could not load: Select Retry. If it still fails, confirm your connection and pull to refresh.
- One category is empty: Choose All to confirm whether other event types are loading.
- The navigation badge remains: Stay in Inbox for at least three seconds, then leave the page.
- No push alert arrives: Confirm both Settings > Push notifications and the operating system permission are on.
- A transaction says complete but data looks old: Open the Etherscan link, then refresh the destination after the transaction is confirmed.
See Settings for device preferences and Troubleshooting for connection and transaction recovery.
