Transfer Ethscriptions
A transfer sends ownership of an Ethscription to another address. It is normally irreversible, so verify the destination before you approve the wallet transaction.
Before you transfer
- Connect and verify the wallet that owns the Ethscription.
- Confirm that the Ethscription is not held in marketplace or auction escrow.
- Ask the recipient for their complete Ethereum address or ENS name.
- Make sure you have enough ETH for the network fee.
Transfer one Ethscription
- Open an Ethscription you own.
- Choose the transfer control in the detail header.
- Enter the recipient's complete Ethereum address or ENS name.
- Check the resolved destination.
- Choose Send.
- Review the recipient and action in your wallet.
- Approve the transaction and wait for confirmation.
The transfer control appears only when floored identifies your connected wallet as the current owner and the Ethscription can be transferred.
Transfer several Ethscriptions
Batch transfer sends every selected Ethscription to the same destination.
- Open your Collectibles or the Owned view on a collection page.
- Choose Select.
- Select each Ethscription, or use Select All when it is available.
- Confirm the number selected.
- Choose Transfer.
- Enter and verify the shared destination.
- Review the destination and item count in the wallet flow.
- Approve the transfer.
Use an address or ENS name
The destination field accepts a valid 0x Ethereum address or a resolvable ENS name. floored blocks an invalid destination before opening the wallet flow.
Always compare the resolved address, especially when sending valuable Ethscriptions. ENS resolution can also fail during a network interruption.
If the Ethscription is in escrow
An Ethscription held by a marketplace or auction contract cannot use the ordinary transfer flow.
For an active floored Market listing, choose Remove from escrow to cancel the listing and return the Ethscription in one transaction. If it was sent to floored Market with Send to escrow but never listed, use the same control. Cancel listing is optional and leaves the item in escrow.
If the item entered floored Market escrow recently, wait until five Ethereum blocks have passed before removing it. A withdrawal attempted during this cooldown fails.
floored does not provide auction settlement controls or identify the auction platform in the current Activity view. If an auction holds the item, return to the platform where you originally started it and resolve it there before trying the ordinary transfer again. If you do not recognize the platform, do not connect your wallet through a guessed or unverified link.
After the transfer
floored shows wallet confirmation, pending, complete, or error notices. Your profile and collection ownership can take longer to update than Ethereum.
If Ethereum confirms but floored still shows the previous owner, pull to refresh or revisit the page. See Troubleshooting for more recovery steps.
Safety checklist
- Compare the full destination address.
- Confirm the number of selected Ethscriptions.
- Confirm the wallet action is a transfer.
- Reject an unexpected ETH value or contract call.
- Never transfer in response to an unsolicited support message.
